So I woke up very early today because we’re going on a trip! YAY!
I realized that TJ’s birthday is coming, it’s on Wednesday next week. So I planned to pay a visit this weekend because I might not be able to take a leave on that exact day. Saturday is no good as I had a Korean language class. So Sunday it was set.
I originally planned to go alone, because uhm well, I didn’t know if anyone would be interested to travel with me around 3-4 hours north (and back) just to see me cry. And besides, it is family day, so I figured it would be hard to invite people. But lucky me, I found some friends who readily volunteered to go with me when they learned about the trip. They are my classmates from MS Finance, Merika, James, and Lai.
Even more luckily, James has a car, so it was much more convenient for us. We were able to locate the cemetery without having to transfer from vehicle to vehicle. And we were also able to have some private (read: juicy) conversations, plus good weekend music. Plus, we were able to have a sidetrip to Isdaan in Tarlac! I have passed by this place many times and I had always wondered how it was to dine in that charmingly interesting place. Now I know. 🙂
Of course I cried! A lot.
But the presence of my friends made the experience much less dreadful.
The Dining Experience
The Cathartic Smash-a-ceramic Corner
(I don’t know what it was officially called but I know I have read about this somewhere, or maybe seen it in a movie)
We insisted Lai to have a go.
You are not cheap, but the experience (and the escape) was worth paying for.
Another quick stopover for some dessert
It was a tiring trip, but really, I had fun.
And I was so glad that I got to visit TJ. 🙂
Thanks a lot Merika, James, and Alyssa! 🙂
Until our next get-together. 🙂
